Hi All,

Could someone please advise me what position the switch at the input on the rear of my Zoom G3 should be "Active" or "Passive"
It is loaded with EFTP.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Hi Jim,

Mine's loaded with Ross Hall's patches. I assume that's what you mean.

It's set to "Passive".

Cheers, Alan.

I'm not a six-stringer, but in my four-string world "active" means the guitar needs batteries and delivers a higher level of signal, while "passive" applies when it doesn't and doesn't. I'd expect Strats and Marvins to be passive.

In bass circles, I always thought 'Active' means dancing around and 'Passive' standing still!!!!

Means Active or Passive Pickups and you set to suit your PUs. If you have a battery and preamp it will be Active, but mostly it will be passive.

Hi Tonio,

Yes this pretty well sums it up. I have no pedal in front of the Zoom and my Strat pickups are passive.

So the position is, as Alan stated in the first reply "passive".

Many thanks,
Jim
