From 1998 to 2009 I owned 4 PRSs. The first was a regular 22 fret "hard-tail", twin hum bucker. That was a great guitar and sold me on the PRS brand but it didn't give me everything i wanted. I then bought an ex-Brisley Schwarz Custom 22 with Trem unit and custom 5-way pick-up selection which Brinsley had requested when he ordered the guitar back in 1992. This offered a mix of full hum bucker and single coil selections from the two hum bucker pickups. It was very versatile and became my main gigging guitar for six or seven years. It was so comfortable and the trem always came back in tune regardless of how aggressively I used it - see photo attached.
I had a three pick-up soap-bar with maple neck and Strat style selector switch but didn't like it as much as my regular ex-Brinsley guitar so didn't keep it long. The other PRS was a Hollow-body II. Again a great guitar but rather prone to feed-back so was rarely gigged.
I really wish i had hung onto my "Brinsley" model, I think it was the best electric guitar I have ever owned, bar none.
