Benson Guitars

Hi All,
Just stumbled across these guitars on ebay, they seem to have a nice variety and paint works. They also seem cheaply priced, to me anyway. Might be of interest to someone who's looking for something to modify.
It seems the more i'm looking on the internet, i seem to be coming across lots of these cheap, but good looking guitars. Would love to be able to compare them all with some of the more expensive models and see how much difference there really is for the extra money. I suppose as long as they can be setup correctly and stay in tune, they would be worth a gamble. Although i don't think any of them would stand up for regular giggers, they might be nice to mess around with at home.
Does anyone own, or have played 1 of these guitars? I've never heard of them :P

Plenty of reviews if you Google 'Benson Guitars'. Variable opinions, but you might be safer with a Squier!

Hi George,
I agree completely, I have already got a squier standard stratocaster, had it for quite some time now. It is 1 of my favourite guitars, that i own, to play. Also own a squier telecaster, an epiphone es295, Vintage vsa535, Burns Marvin Shadows custom signature, Fender electro acoustic, Yamaha acoustic and a squier bass. I genuinely think that the Burns is the best guitar i own (and it's the most expensive), but the squier is a brilliant guitar too in it's own right. If anybody who is just starting to learn to play, ever asked me what guitar to buy as a first decent guitar, i'd say 'the standard squier stratocaster' everytime, hands down, i love mine.
Thanks for letting me know about the reviews of the benson guitars, i'll have to have a look.
Cheers
Ryan

They look good, wouldn't mind trying them out of curiosity. :)
