Small practice bass amp

I need a small bass amp for home use. I want a simple amp with a rounded bass sound similar to Nivram. Weight not so much of a problem as will stay in one spot. Any suggestions appreciated

Try any Ashdown, Peavey or Fender etc practice bass amp if its just for home use .
The Tone will depend on how you set the amp and guitar and what strings you use on the bass etc

Yes, just about any practice amp will do that job. No need to spend significant money. Jay's spot on re settings and strings.

Bill, or bass guitarist Anna uses a small Fender Bassman for practice, Bill. She can plug her iPod into it also to play along with.

I see Fender has a range called 'Rumble' bass amps that are being advertised at present, in many different sizes etc. They seem to get good write-ups. I personally have a Roland 'Bass Cube 30' which is an excellent little practise/rehearsal amp combo. It is 30w with bass amp modelling too, & a 10" speaker. It is really loud for its size & weight & cost me less than £UK 200 about 5 years ago. I cannot fault this amp on anything, & it has the great Roland quality which we all know about.
