I do like sunburst on starts Jazzmasters and basses - somehow the solid colours seem to suit the Jaguar surf green would look awful on a Jazzmaster in my opinion. Yours looks a nice guitar I would like a mute - did they have a bridge cover ?

Yes, I agree, Bill. I looked for a painted Jaguar but couldn't find one, so had to settle for the sunburst. My first choice was white, mainly because the ones I saw in 1962-63 were in that color.

Yes, the reissue Jaguar came with a bridge cover. I think it just snaps on. I should install it.

I think that sunburst looks really nice, Andy.
The whole guitar looks very tasty. Good buy.

Thanks, Graham. I'm glad you enjoyed that video, Bill. It brings me back to when I was a kid, getting all excited about a Jaguar on black-and-white TV. Neil Levang really hits those strings hard. he must have a huge gauge on them.

I was going through my photos and found this old one I took of my Jaguar's Fender Mute and thought folks here might find it interesting.

I think mutes were common in the early sixties. I have a 62 double cut 6120 and that has one and it works. I believe some Gretch white falcons had 2. Not sure if anyone ever used them.
