Yes I'm sorry. I really didn't think anyone would take the post seriously. It was a playful spoof and I was going to run with it but that's playing mind games at someone's expense. The clues were in the pipe cleaner/pilot light and playing the amp is a gas ala gas oven.

I forget what you do with valve amps- been using transistor amps since about 1976....they are either on or off....but virtually manintenance free...and light and reliable...

Got two VOX AD 30 VTs (Pre-amp) and a VOX AC 30 CC2 (All valve) I just leave the standby on all the time and just use the on and off switch with the AC 30 CC2. Seems to be the way to go, as they say?
