Very nice, but I honestly don't need one, the eTap2 does it all for me. :)

You can't unless you know someone who will oblige, but where can you get to try a Hall & Colins?

I had the original eTap2 without the valves and it blew away the competition, that was in September 2012.
Since then I have asked Ecca for the valve preamp upgrade which was even better sounding tone - wise and then had the later modification by Ecca with a second valve, which added more somehow.

I have always thought that some of the EFTP patches didn't compare to the records they were trying to emulate and more than once had arguments with certain people about them, but where they failed, the eTap got it right and I'll be using that as the yardstick in digital/analogue solid state machines from now on. I still have the real thing in the ESE Echomatic tape/valve machine and the eTap2 valve job holds it's own with that. I recently had a blast with the Quads and Magicstomp and they are OK they do a job , as does my Vox Tonelab LE, but the real sound can be heard with eTap2 - it'll do for me, which goes to show that echo expertise is not confined to one person in this day and age, I've moved on has as HBM. ;)
