A great firm for guitar spares A.G.C.

I recently discovered a place local to me that sells guitar parts on-line and yesterday paid them a visit.
You can build your own custom Stratocaster for under £200.00 with the stuff they have in stock, I bought a fully loaded three tone sunburst alder body with alnico pickups for £119.99 , a rosewood board maple neck for £54.99 and a set of locking tuners for £18.99. All the rest of the hardware is included an when assembled the guitar will be ready to play and earn me a living, the neck feels so smooth with rounded fret edges, just like a Custom shop model.
The name of the company is AGC and they are on Ebay - phone number is 01909 807010.
They sell everything to do with guitar spares, I hope some of you get the benefit from them being there as not many folks have found them yet.
I found them on Ebay looking for guitar bodies and necks. In this day and age of rising costs a firm like this is a Godsend to me. I will put the guitar together and get one of my friends to play it through the eTap2 and hopefully show that it does the business - Yes they do Fiesta Red AND all maple necks.

The alnico pickups look very similar to the Ironstone pickups, though Adam at AGC told me another name. I'll assemble the parts tomorrow and see how it pans out.
One of the things about them being so near to us, is that I'm able to try the necks for feel, rather than buy blindly. I can't believe how good this one is that I bought, though I checked out about half a dozen and they were all good, maple as well as rosewood. They are 9.5 inches radius too, which I like. :)

Hi Dave,

Mark Pybus here, ex Shaddict and now Ghostrider and Blackpool Club member! This is very interesting, are they just through Ebay or do they have a website of their own? Im on the lookout for a Jazzmaster body in the three tone sunburst, preferably in Alder and close spec to Bruces 60's original for possible use with The Ghostriders, if I can persuade Mr Harris to put down his Strat and have a go!

Great to read such a positive write up of a firm.

Kev has told me how hard things have been for you health wise but that you are now doing well and I hope back playing real soon, Kevs had some good news too recently on the health front. :D

Best Regards,
Mark

The phone number for AGC is 01909 807010, his name is Adam and a very helpful chap. Their business hours are Mon/Fri 10am til 4pm. :)
As far as my health is concerned, I'm improving very slowly from the effects of chemo and radium, but I'm always very tired for long periods. I'm glad to hear that Kev is improving, hopefully I'll get over and see you all soon. :)

Hi Dave and Hi Didier,

Thankyou very much for the information, phone number and web links, I've had a quick look online and they have good stuff at very reasonable prices, I shall definitely be following this up and looking again in detail.

Thanks again for the heads up, Gents.
Cheers,
Mark.

I bought all the parts for a Strat and put them together last week and can honestly say that the new guitar sounds and plays as good as any I have ever tried. The neck is finished equal to any masterbuilt one that I have ever seen, you cannot feel the edges of the frets as they are so well rounded and flush with the board, the pickups are alnico and sound spot on, the machine heads are their own standard locking ones and the trem that I chose is the Wilkinson vintage type and it works perfectly - £210 altogether, an absolute bargain ! Highly recommended. :)
