strings for squier 6 string bass.

Any thoughts on the D'Addario EXL165-6 string set for the Squier Bass.
The gauges are: 32, 45, 65 85 105 and 135.
These are available locally for £24.95 (Merchant City Music..who are also stocking the guitars)
The squier supplied strings seem to be : 32, 44, 51, 62, 72 and 90 (which seems a bit "floppy")

Including a gauge of .135" means that these strings would be for a modern style 6 string bass (long scale) with a low B 6th and not for a short scale E-E bass VI.

A reminder...

Howard of Oasis Music is planning on getting a few dozen sets of appropriately-gauged flatwound Bass VI strings made up by Picato. The gauge hasn't yet been finalised, but anyone undertaking to buy at least one set (at about £45) will have a vote on the fine-tuning of the chosen gauges.
