Being the proud owner of a Epiphone Sheraton 2 it's led me away from the world of Strats which I always wanted as a youth. It's my intention to trade in my USA Standard for a similar Sheraton style giutar and take a hit on a Gibson ES-335 Reissue.

Just listen to Gregor here in these clips. No fancy tape echoes but it's pure heaven. I've left it too late to play like this guy

Yesterday I tried a Rob Williams guitar. Probably one of the best made and playing guitars I have ever laid my hands on. I'm going back today to try it through my own kit.

Interesting to see the MM amps...memories...

About 20 years ago, I had two of the MM amps in succession. Wish I still had either.

Had a lovely little 50 watt 1x10, but not loud enough, so I traded it for a 100 watt 2x10- then got slung out of a band 'cos I was too loud....

Those MM amps had a great true Fender tone- at that time, I had a candy apple red USA Strat with heavy strings, and through the 100 watt amp it sounded as though Buddy himself was strumming...

They are wonderful amps. The 1 X 12 I have had since I bought it new in 1980 and it's been all over Europe with me. It has a great tone and is still my main amp. The 2 x 12 i bought a couple of years back It has JBL's in it.

Well, I bought the Rob Williams guitar. It's a one-off, Set Neck Deluxe in Brazilian Mahogany and Hawaiian Koa top. It's a masterpiece, and the tones match the looks which, I have to say, I cannot do justice to with the camera. Even the jack socket cup is carved mahogany rather than metal. Not Strat tones, obviously, but Shads stuff still sounds great on it.

I played one of these, ( a left handed "Luke" ), at Guitars 4 You in Ashbourne Derbyshire about four years ago.

The action on the guitar was absolutely first class and the tremolo, to be honest, was better than anything
I've played before or since.
"So why didn't you buy it Alan"??

Sadly the neck was a little too narrow for my sausage fingers. ( Folks with normal digits would love it ).

It was blue............blue? :o

It was £1600.00

And last but not least, Mrs B. was with me.

Dave, I don't know if Daniel has ever played one of these, but the quality is right up his street.
To know and have known the love of a little dog is a truly wonderful thing.
