It is definitely a J50 (though not sure of the vintage) that Bruce is playing, with the teardrop pickguard and narrow rectangular bridge (i.e. neither top nor bottom belly style). It appears a paler natural finish than the more golden shade of the example in the illustration.

Hello to all... Been a while since I've been on here...
First of all HI JJ!! It's me, Phil, Cliff's nephew. Hope you're well. :)
Did you manage to check the serial number on Cliff's guitar? I've never taken the opportunity to check myself and it's been a while since I've seen the guitar up close anyway. To be honest, I think it is the same one used on Apache... I think the sunburst, red/brown/mahogany (Cliff just called it brown) and blonde J200s are all the same guitar. Cliff has simply forgotten the original sunburst finish.

It was probably refinished around 1970-ish... Then again in the mid 70s, after being damaged to the current blonde finish. This is all purely guess work, but that's my theory. The serial number will help confirm this... Hope everyone is well. :)

Btw how do I upload a picture on here?
