What guitar?

Is anyone able to tell me what guitar Hank used on the Thunderbirds Theme, particularly the growling intro. Thanks.

That was a Fender Bass VI, finished in sunburst, like the one Jet played on Besame Mucho, Man From Nowhere and Main Title Theme.

Hank apparently still has it and it was used on Thunderbirds, Zero X Theme, Stingray and the instrumental version of My Way (within the "Finders Keepers Medley").

[who is wondering whether there might be a chance to recreate Thunderbirds with a live group at the Shadowfix Friday Night.]

There is a picture of Mark Griffiths playing one in The Shadows 1987 tour program. Don't know if that one was Hank's?

Jim,

Not really the right sub board for this I suppose, but do you have the chords for Thunderbirds? I have a couple of versions but I'm not entirely sure if they are right.

I don't have the chords for Thunderbirds in precise terms, but I know that the key vacillates between Eb, G and C and that the first chord when the rhythm section comes in in bar 9 is a G major.
