Hi,

Anyone tried out the Vox Amphones Headphone amps? I wondered if they produce a decent clean tone. Also if i could use my eftp magicstomp with them and an mp3 player so i could play along with backing tracks at home.

Yes I have had one of these for a couple of years, the VOX AC30 Amplug. You can plug it into the output of your echo unit, plug your backing track and your headphones into the Amplug (two mini stereo sockets in the Amplug, one for headphones and one for aux) and play away without disturbing anybody.
It gives quite a good Top Boost sound, and is ideal for practicing when you can't use your Amp.
Best regards,
Baz.

Thanks for the comment, however the vox amphones is a set of headphones with built in amp and different to the amplug. I wondered if anyone had tried these out. It is worth considering the amplug however as it is much cheaper, especially if it does the same job.

Seen them advertised not tried, seem very expensive for what they are. I personally recommend if you can source one a kor ampworks. About £30 quid on ebay and much more versatile well worth a look
