Fender Amp

G'day All,
I am about to sell my Vox AC30CC2 ( China) and my Laney VC30 210 (British) and purchase a Fender Valve amp. Can any of you good people recommend a nice sounding Fender Amp that is not to heavy to lug around.
Don't worry I am still keeping my 1 owner '67 AC30 TB. It IS to heavy to lug all the time. I just need a nice toned reasonably light Amp. I am using a Boss ME 70 with a couple of nice delay patches put into it.

If you can lay your hands on a Super Champ XD (they go for a reasonable price second hand) you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Although rated at 15W they are quit powerful. I use two of these linked up at our club in Sussex in preference to my AC30 (too heavy) and people always comment on the quality of the sound.

Best Amp around 15-20w is the Fender Pro Junior....or the Blues Junior if you need more flexibility in the amps controls

The BJ in particular responds very well to a little "tweaking" ( a speaker/reverb tank upgrade & some swapping around of pre-amp valves)

Pro Junior is the lightest of course but either amp will benefit from a replacement pine cab & a "neo" spkr if weight is an issue

I sold my AC15 & bought a BJ & it can confirm it does work very well with shads stuff (suits the Etap2hw particularly well !)

Tom, just curious. Does the Boss ME 70 do amp modelling? If so, why go into a normal amp (which defeats the object of modelling) when you can run it into a power amp and get the tone from the processor? I use a Bose L1 Compact system, light and powerful, running either from my Pod X3Pro or my iPad JamUp app.

I'd highly recommend the Princeton Reverb re-issue.

Beautiful tone, very loud for it's size and the best reverb.

Thanks to all your input fellas. Sorry Kieth but postage would be more than the Amp I would say, to OZ. All those ideas you all gave me will be looked into .
Thanks also Noel but no, the ME70 only has reverb delay etc so no modeling.
I really need the amp behind me when playing in the band (The Shadowmen). (Getting old and grey and bloody deaf so I need all the sound on stage I can get.)
