A firm called Chaplins does speaker cloths, he sells Vox cloth as well..

Stand the amp behind it Ecca!!

Whats wrong with the cloth on it anyway? as long as it says Vox on the front the punters won't care,
and the black cloth is perfectly valid, Vox did use it!!

In my opinion, the red speaker cloth was designed and/or chosen to go with the earlier fawn cabinet covering, in a nod to the Fender fawn tolex and oxblood speaker cloth look. It was retained for a while (using up stocks?) when Vox changed to black covering, but never looked right.

The change to the black speaker cloth (c. 1965) was a definite improvement. It complemented the black covering far better. The black cloth was an obvious (if belated) re-design for the black amps.

As far as I remember The Bass guitarist in the group's Vox cab has either the Blue or Black
cloth and I think that the rhythm guitarist's amp is also black or blue..
