I wasn't right about the etap-hw features, so here is a rectification from Piet :
ETap2hw is with W&F and fine tuned per emulation,for E1 emu's it reflects the disc characteristics, for tape systems it takes into account capstan/rolls with up to 3 variables.
For each emu the dry and wet are managed:
No filtering on the dry
A fine tuned curve per emulation through the wet part as per graph I've published a couple of years ago. It's fixed equalizing assuming the user adds an EQ as is normal practice with life performances.... I think a Roland blue colored device is very popular to be used and/or that special RC filter
When Jean-Claude demoed the etap2-hw he had just assembled at the Swissshads meeting in June, he added his own EQ circuit.
