Hi, thanks everyone for your help. i decided to wire it up on the vol pot as in the seymour duncan drawing only problem is ive got through two push/pull pots! they was pulling but not staying in postion, i have soldered all the earths to the top of the pot which the heat must be damaging them, cant i just wire all the grounds to the trem claw?
cheers

One option is to solder all the grounds to a large solder tag under one of the pots

Not really. It would be the same electrically, but solder the grounds to the tag first so the heat doesn't affect the pot, then the bush of the pot goes through the hole in the tag and secures the lot to the pickguard
