That's a real bummer, Alan. I was looking forward to hearing the amp.

ebay changed the rules on feedback to try and avoid the tit-for-tat situation which could otherwise have arisen in your case.

I'm glad he can't leave negative feedback, I must have missed that somewhere along the line. To be honest, I don't need another amp, but I would have paid up to £550 to get a Heritage just out of interest to hear how they sound. ;)

Well, would you believe it, 2nd time lucky ................ it did cost me £50 more, but it was still less than my original offer and he's still worse off after all the eBay and PayPal fees, but I'm a happy bunny. :D

There's a way on ebay now where a buyer who is refused the item (even if refunded) can seek compensation for the seller's non -delivery of the goods.

Ebay is a bit of a scary place for sellers nowadays. :(

I haven't checked but I'm sure Twang's right. It's also a Breach of Contract. Served him right in the end though eh? Good for you mate!

Well, the amp eventually arrived and what a great sounding amp it is. Pity the guy couldn't pack it properly and it's suffered a small crack/split in the cabinet, nothing serious, so I can live with it. Will give it a proper try on Saturday along with Piet's Etap unit.

Alan, with the delivery of the amp, you now have all the evidence you need to make a claim against this seller. He has been really stupid to sell the amp on eBay, refuse to deliver, relist and sell for a higher price. You should present all this information to eBay immdiately. Please don't let clowns like this get away with it - they are the ones bring eBay into disrepute, despite the fact that the majority of transactions are trouble-free.
