Does anyone own or played through the recent AC15/30 handwired amps? Apparently they sound as good as anything before and well made

Take a look at the "Was this a bargain or was this a BARGAIN?
" thread.
Cheers.

I understand that the latest handwired Vox amps are not quite the same as the Heritage series which is the one that Alan McKillop just bought on Ebay. There are differences and I remember reading about them and wasn't interested in testing them out as the fell short of what I needed for a Shads sound. I have the Vox AC15 Heritage and it is all one would ever want tone-wise for early and later Shadows sounds, but it isn't loud enough for the gigs we do with the band without a microphone in front of it, so i stick with my two AC30s for live work and they're the ones for me. That said I have tried a few Heritage AC30s and they don't sound as good as my own two, but the AC15 is lovely.
Consequently, my AC15 Heritage is for sale should anyone be interested @ £650.00 , it's in as new condition as it has lived in my studio from day one when I tried it up at the Dusty Miller. I fitted a new EF86 recently, still sounds Fido's Danglers . . . . . . .

Hi Dave.
Can I ask what brand of EF86 valve did you fit?
Regards Geoff.

It was one of several I have that were kept back by Peter Alden for KCP spares, can't remember the name without checking my stash. I also used one in one of my AC30 amps. All I know is that it they sound good.

Hi Dave.
I think they used JJ valves in the KCP's but could be wrong.
Regards Geoff.
