I don't know what to think really. Perhaps Guy is maybe misunderstood and doesn't present himself in a way this site expects. There are many times I've been guilty of that. I received a response to a question I put to him on eBay and I'm unsure of legal misuse of showing replies. I didn't say that I was a memberr of any Shad forum.

Perhaps I can precise the reply which was quite long including a lenghy mention of his treatment by club members. There was, in my opinion, some vitriolic staments regarding the suppliers of Shad echos and I was also reassured that Marc was indeed using the echo unit. In order to write these things Guy must have knowlege of my membership of a forum although I have a non Shad member name on eBay

Guy Bodart, Mec Op Singers.

Take the unit out of the equation and looking at the man, I kind of like him and I don't know why.

Hello all,

On Ebay Australia I have just spotted a Fiesta red Magic stomp with what appears to be Hanks signature for sale. The offer is buy it now for AU$275
A quick check has shown it was bought from Guy 3 months ago for US$395 That's not very long. Maybe its not as good as Guy reckons!!
I am going to keep an eye on it, but do not think it will sell at that price.

If memory serves me well, these "autographed" ones were among the first he did.
Hanks people (I think) told him to remove the signature or else.(possible litigation)
If you check the current pix on his magicstomp ad its easy to see where hes "photoshopped" out the signature.
If you also check out the lists of echo patches on the e bay site, you will see the names bear a striking resemblance to the ones Charlie Hall uses on his Stomp programmes.
Anyways, buyer beware, although the Charlie Hall stomp echoes are good, as testified by many users here.
Also remember the original color of the stomp was not fiesta red... Mr. B has resprayed them!

I knew I had some work I did when Guy was taking flack re genuine plays of his posted work on here. I asked if he could mute various parts of his recordings which would give an indication of the track validity.

I mixed a complicated track to illustrate the excercise my point. My examples are below under my now defunt charlie583 Hotmail tag.

Since then he has moved to the USA and run a movie camera repair and service business. Some years ago he has been a member of our French Shadows' forum, but we had to ban him for improper behaviour.

He also tries to sell a Magicstomp repainted in fiesta red !

one song "Dies Irae" and in the German Charts with another psychedelic song ! The company was EMI !!!!!!
