Flingloleom Blunt usually sounds correct I have to say with this method of setting the echo pattern :)

First PCB I've done for donkey's years.
Pads need enlarging next time, track width OK.
Drilling out next with 1mm solid carbide drills.

Well I assembled it all and unbelievably....... it works !
There are things to do, it's hissing somewhat and the feedback doesn't seem to feedback enough but nonetheless, it works.

I used pluggable terminal blocks ( orange )while I'm messing about with it.
The 4 presets on the right are the 'head' levels, they work OK.
The red switch in the top right hand corner is the 'head' selection, it seems to work.
The blue multiturn presets are the 'head' timings, they work fine.
I was quite pleased, I made only one mistake on the PCB ( so far ) and used only 3 links ( they look like resistors but possess only one black band in the centre. )
It was a bit of a pig because I printed the master off without holes which made the drilling a bit imprecise but I won in the end.
I'll let you know.

Good work Ecca . . . all of this is rocket science to me, but I have no doubt that it will work perfectly.
I can hardly wait to hear some sample files.

Cheers,

I have been following your progress with a keen interest Eric (& occasionally understand some of it), any chance of a sound file or 2?.

Progress report;
It's working OK, I've sussed the feedback problem, I'd taken it from the wrong place.
But.......... it's very noisy, a lot of hissing and various sort of motorboating noises, more so on the slower echoes.
By running it at 3 volts instead of 5 it's much improved so I'm working on that at the moment.
I can roll off the hissing with a capacitor but I then start rolling everything off and it starts getting muffled.
I'll keep you informed.
