Hi, Andy. Thanks for the information. You are right...I am noticing the clear finish on the maple fretboard that I sampled. A maple fretboard with no finish would feel different to me. I have not ever touched one, but I should pick up one of the Fenders the next time I am visiting the guitar shop. This whole adventure has been really interesting, learning all these different things about guitars. And I've only begun learning; there is so much more.

I think it is really special that The Shadows have had such a worldwide influence on people like all of us. We are all from different countries and different continents, but we all have our love of the The Shadows in common. And with the majority of The Shadows' work being instrumental music with no vocals, that unites us even more. There is no language barrier, when it comes to our mutual enjoyment of Apache, Flingel Bunt, etc. I hope I said that the right way; there's no language barrier on this Board. I just meant in general. I am not multi-lingual (not really) but we all play the same music.
