If push comes to shove T-Cut would get rid of the signature without much trouble.

Let's go back to post 1 here, a member comes on here to say about his new guitar being Divine, and obviously was over the moon to own it, you then get a comment "Lovely guitar, but I can't believe you have let Bruce de-face it in that way" what a horrid thing to say to somebody that is so delighted to own it, we then get
"I think the guitar's been ruined. I'd get it resprayed ASAP
When looking at the pics I thought 'that's lowered the re-sale value of that guitar"

So if that the case why do guitars signed by the stars allways sell well at auctions, take the Mex Strat ( Reading Children In Need night) signed by all the Shads and Cliff ,it sold for over £1000.
And many many more that I've seen sold for over the odd's..........
Try telling a auction house that the guitar they have with Eric Claptons signature is not worth as much as the one without it, they would laugh at you !!

Ecca had it correct T-Cut would remove the signature, but why !! to a lot of people it means everthing.


The Guitar is part of a 12 guitar order by the UK Fender Custom Shop Rep in 2005, the last two to arrive were finnished in Dakota Red, one was returned to Fender and the body changed to Fiesta Red the other remains as it left the factory and is owned by a freind of mine along with a Fiesta Red model made from the same batch, Justin Daish has one also, I owned two these fantastic guitars.............

Of course this is just my views on it, but I do feel for members who get kicked between the eyes !!..

I guess it was similar to me saying that I'd managed to track down an Amtech Age Pro and Kill Smelly posting saying it was rubbish compared to other echoes. That topic had been on the go for over a year and he didn't post any comments, but as soon as I'd mentioned I had sourced one .......... well, read the thread and you'll see his comments.

So, why didn't you put my comment into context and write the whole sentence, instead of trying to stir up trouble - with you Derek, nothing changes!

The guitar is a beauty for sure and Bruce is a noble man and respected by me. In posts like this you either keep quiet and take on the emperor's clothes tack or say the obvious. It's the actual placement of the signature that's spoiling the look.

By having the signature on the trem cover plate and laquered for protection, the plate becomes transfereable to a newer future guitar. You have a signature guitar then, signed in an appropiate place which doesn't retract from the guitar's beauty.

Hi all.
First of all Edi let me say what a super guitar you have there. It looks fantastic and I bet it plays and sounds as good as it looks. As far as the signature on the horn goes if you like it then it does not matter what other people think. It's your pride and joy. If you dont like it then it's easy to remove, as it's been pointed out, without doing any damage to the paint finish.
Many years ago my kids bought me a Strat that also has a signature on the horn. It's a right handed, Made in China, Dakota Red one and I love it because it's got a signature on the horn. I cant even play it as I am a lefty.

At a Children In Need evening Both these guitars made over a £1000 each, only because of the signatures may I add, they are both owned by members here who are very pleased to own them...

Thank you for your nice comments, I know most of you from the internet and youtube. I wish all the signatures of Shadows on the guitar would have. The pickups are Fender noiseless. Thus, a guitar was always my dream, I was able to meet me there. As you suspected, the guitar sounds as good as Hank's 40th annyversary.
