These are far better than the originals back in the day...I would assume. I had one of the originals and it was crap- pickups were useless.

A Watkins Rapier 33 was my second electric guitar, bought s/h for £8 when I was 15.

For the money (about £29 new), it was sensational. Far better made than Vox guitars of a similar price.

But though I have not yet had a chance to lay hands o one, I'm betting that this new Entwistle version is a lot better than the original.

I'm guessing it will be too, I'm quite tempted to try one through my Watkins Dominator. :)
