suspicious-looking email

if anyone gets an email like this its a paypal scam.got this today. tony

Your credit card information has been changed.

On February 28, 2012, your credit card has been removed from your PayPal account.

You are receiving this email notification because this email address is listed as the administrative contact email for your PayPal account. If you belive this is an error, click the link below, log in to your PayPal account and follow the instructions.

https://www.paypal.com.au/cgi-bin/cmd_help

Please do not reply to this email. This mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response.

I receive such emails on a regular basis, it's easy to see the are phishing messages, just look at the sender's email address. Never log to Paypal other than on its normal URL.
I always forward them to spoof@paypal.com

hi didier, if you know what to look out for i agree is easy to spot but if you got this for the first time you could easily fall for it, or maybe react to quick without thinking and click the link it looks genuine. regards tony

They are all very clever in simulating the look of a genuine email.
I guess we all have to be more careful all the time these days.
