I have tried to send a personal message twice during the last two weeks, but every time the message stays in the outbox and doesn't seem to reach the recipient. Can one of the moderators help me with this? Thank you in advance.

As I understand it, it will still show in your out box until the person you sent it to actually reads it.

Ivo,

I have a message (pm) in my outbox for longer then 6 months.
(Soms tref je een halvezool die zijn belofte niet nakomt)

Cheers Rob

Yes Peter is right. The message stays in the outbox until the recipient opens it. If you would like to PM me, Ivo, I will see if I can investigate further.
Hope this helps - Iain

I spent ages typing up some Shads/Hank set lists earlier this year and sent them in a Personal Message to a member who says he never received them - despite the post moving from my 'Outbox' to my 'Sent' folder. He gave me another email address to send them to but don't think they ever arrived there either. Oh well - I haven't got much else to do!

I have found that when writing directly onto this site - as I imagine we all do - it can occasionally vanish into thin air. I don’t know whether it’s finger trouble, browser behaviour or what.
Having fallen victim a few times, I’ve found a way round it for a long detailed posting. Write it elsewhere then copy and paste into ShadowMusic. You then have a safe copy if the worst should happen.
