Johnny Burnette Trio

Postby Ryan » 04 Aug 2014, 21:35

Hi all,
Not sure if I've posted this in the right place, sorry if it isn't.
Just wondered if anyone knows much about Johnny Burnette's guitarists playing style? Sorry if this isn't about 'The Shadows', but i have a feeling some of you guys would know more about it than i do. Would like to put as many different styles as possible, of the 50's/60's era, in my guitar playing, have no one else knowledgable to ask.
Cheers
Ryan

Paul Burlison guitar style instructional DVD. Paul demonstrates his favorite licks from numerous Rock`n Roll Trio songs.

Also check out Pauls Telecaster lead playing on Youtube vintage clips with Johnny Burnette, "Lonesome Train" etc.

You need to have a Telecaster for THAT sound....quote from "The Fender Telecaster Book" (2012) By Dave Hunter :

" I bought that Les Paul model Gibson, the first one they come out with - you know , that gold one ? I bought it, but didn`t keep it for but six months...
I never did like it, so as soon as that Fender came out, I traded it for a Fender." - Paul Burlison

Cheers Pol.
