Guitars on stands & plasma TVs

Postby abstamaria » 01 Aug 2014, 14:05

l was watching TV with a friend, talking about the discussions on this forum, when this short clip appeared on "Funniest Videos." When I saw it, the coincidence made me laugh. I'm posting this so we may take things humorously. : )

The last cat we had (Lulu, who died five years ago) would not have been able to stand around so impassively after knocking over a TV set. She'd have been shocked by the noise and darted...

We have four rescue cats now. They seem to like the warmth of the TV. (We had to put the TV on a bracket attached to a wall.) The cats are not allowed in the studio. I keep my guitars in their cases in a closet, but the amps might be irresistible as scratching posts.

Before Lulu, we had a black male kitten from a rescue home. I was going to call him "Hank", but my sister-in-law suggested "Jet" as a more fitting name.

If our cat sees me get my guitar out of its case he leaves the room...quickly.

That's Sundance and Postino (he was left at our postbox as a tiny kitten). I wouldn't trust either one near a Fiesta Red Stratocaster or other guitar.

So were Hank Williams and Hank Snow.

If it has no Shads connection, just pop it in The Lounge and carry on :)

Best wishes - Iain
