That's a pretty good memoir of Luxembourg 208.
Being my contrary self as usual, I agree that the very best period for Radio Luxembourg was in the early 1960s (certainly 1961 - 1964, maybe a bit later) when all the shows were sponsored and the big four UK record companies (EMI, Philips, Pye and Decca) used to sponsor most of them. Not all of them - there were other sponsors, such as H Samuel, Ever-Ready and Frys chocolate - but most of them were sponsored by record labels, in 15, 30 and 60 minute slots. That, in my opinion, was far better than the American-style two or three hour DJ slots which the pirates used and which Luxembourg (and the BBC) later adopted.
