Pre Shads Tunes ----Pre Shads Sweets ? ?

Following on from the interesting Pre Shad Tunes Thread ..........How about Pre Shads Sweets..........I loved going to the sweet shop for 2oz of sweets in the 50s, tell us what type of sweets you remember :D ..............Cheers :D

My favourite back in the days of yore was definitely Trebor Pineapple Chunks, but these days (when allowed them) it's Bassett's Basseti Sticks (hard-ish and very chewy liquorice).

Spangles, Fruit Salad, Liquorice Allsorts, SunPat peanut brittle, treacle toffee & Anglo bubbly were my favourites....... :D

Cigarettes-pipes Tobacco.........That has just reminded me, My brother and I got caught by our Dad having a cigar hiding behind a sette, we were only nine, and he made us finnish it, guess who was sick !!..............Happy Days :D

Liquorice Tablets! My Mother would buy 4x1/2lb bags, one each for my two sisters, herself and me, and we would chew them until our jaws ached. Wonderful! :mrgreen:
There does seem to be a liquorice theme here, should we tell Mr Locking?
