Famed jazz guitarist Herb Ellis died on 28th March, aged 88.

Along with Joe Pass, one of my favourite jazz guitar players. What a shame that generation of greats must be getting close to the end.

Saw him with with Oscar Peterson and Ray Brown several years ago. he could outplay guys half his age. And a lot more tastefully to boot.
