As far as I was aware, Burns guitars are designed by Burns in the UK and built in China, with final setup and testing in the UK but on searching for a Burns Marvin online I came across this site which appears to be selling direct from China, charging £75 to ship to the UK.

Does anyone know if this is a genuine Burns outlet?

Oops, forgot to post the link

After I posted the original query, I found that on the Burns UK site, they actually link to this Chinese site (and a Russian and Japanese site as well), under the Distributors link.

The Chinese site lists a Hank Marvin 64 with hard case for £899 + £80 shipping = £979 :o

Don't forget the customs duty (it's higher for complete instruments than for parts).....

If I recall correctly, duty on a guitar is about 3%, but the killer is the VAT on the whole price including the cost of shipping.
