Framus Star Bass for sale: 5/149 1964

I'm looking for a good home for a Framus Star bass 5/149 thinline in red, vintage June 1964.

I've had a specialist restorer fit a new but original pick-up supplied from Germany, plus new volume/tone controls and electrics. The restoration was done in conjunction with the Framus museum and the supplier they recommended.

Flatwound strings give it that authentic Sixties sound. It's got that classic thin neck, short scale and is very light.

It's the model as used by Bill Wyman in his early years and Slade’s Jim Lea in ‘Slade in Flame’ (but not THE model...)

I'm in the South Manchester/Manchester Airport area. Contact hunt53bass@gmail.com for more.

It's like this but red: http://www.framus-vintage.de/modules/mo ... 4622&cl=EN
