Amazing value - and food for thought
Last Friday I called in at our local music shop 'Richtone Music' and saw the new 'Vintage Modified' guitars from Squier. I didn't think much about them until I picked one up and tried it, in this case a white Jaguar with a tortoiseshell coloured pickguard. I was amazed at the quality in the finish, sound, playability - everything about it . . . £245.00 . . .
As I had always fancied owning a Fender Jaguar, but never wanting to pay the high cost for one, it had to come home with me and I have played it every day and still can't find fault with it, one you get the hang of the controls there are some great sounds in there.
The sobering thought is that back in 1962 when mum & dad bought me my Vox Duotone for £29gns - the £245.00 that I paid for this guitar equalled a mere £13.05 !
