Hey guys,
I currently purchased a HBM Signature Stratocaster from Steve Reynolds and when searching for information on it, I can't seem to find anything as if the model doesn't exist, which it does and I believe it was limited to 200 pieces worldwide.
The gold hardware isn't original specification but anyway, does anyone have some more information on it?
Cheers,
Robson

They were actually £679 as advertised in Hanks tour brochure in 2000.

A guitarist friend of mine picked up one of these F.Red Mex Strats from Ebay two weeks ago (secondhand) for £250. It is in excellent condition, like new, & plays & sounds like a dream. He also got a gigbag & echo pedal thrown in free, too. He's lucky like that. I believe his is the basic 'Classic series' version, but still a tremendous guitar.
Tony.

I have one too, also via Ebay and mine had never been played, still had all tags, etc.
We must thank Ecca for providing some background information on this guitar (he also had one) and, with a nod of gratitude to him, I have attached the item:
It's a good guitar but pretty standard apart from the Easy-mute tremelo and the initials on the headstock.

Hi!
I have one of these great guitars, bought it second hand in 2004. It's fitted with the VML easymute tremolo arm, and has Di Marzio pickups. A great instrument! I wrote an e- mail to Ian St. John-White at the VML, and here is his answer to me when I asked about the guitar: "There were 410 Hank Marvin Mexican Stratocasters made. Hank has never used
one of them as he uses Fender Custom Shop guitars, made to his specification
and with Kinman pick-ups and gold plated hardware. The Mexican made Hank
Marvins use re-issued '59' series alnico pick-ups either made in Mexico or
the Far East."
My guitar was rebuilt by the previous owner. I hope this can be a part of the answer about these guitars.
Best regards
Arnulf
