From my point of view Daniel Martin was the star of Shadowmania! Im sure someone knows what echo he uses - its just that he doest seem to spend anytime "twidling knobs" and still gets a great sound! He even got "that sound" from his Burns on Frightened City and Kontiki! Well done Daniel!

I messaged Daniel about his rig as I also was very impressed and I hope he doesn't mind me adding here he uses 2 magic stomps, 1 for echos and 1 for reverb, his amp is a pinnacle and the strat he was using was a bitser fitted with some cheap pickups by dave Robinson

Danny used a Japanese Strat with a Brason birds eye maple neck, fitted with Tonerider Vintage pickups. His amp was the white Pinnacle through which he used a couple of Magic Stomp boxes and an Ernie Ball volume pedal. Nothing sparkling or over expensive, just a lot of talent.

Thanks guys and have to agree a HUGE talent, probably the best Shadows guitarist since Hank - never actually met him but seems so quiet and modest with no ego!

I also thought that Daniel nailed Chet Atkins' guitar sound and fills perfectly on "So Sad". Overall I was really impressed with his clean and accurate playing under pressure on the day. Well done that man!
