Which Guitar

Hi to all..

Am thinking of buying a new Strat, and would be interested in members comments.
I have been playing (Bedroom only) for about two years, and feel I am getting better. My current setup is:-
Squier Standard Strat.. Vox VT15 amp and Zoom G2.1Nu (with EFTP patches.).

As I am on strict budget I am considering the following:-

(1)Fender MIM Standard....(2)Fender MIM Classic...(3)Fender MIM Classic Player.

I see the prices of these seem to increment by about £100 between each one.
Would be interested in whether the price differences offer value for money.

Any comments or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks Chris

Hi

I have owned a couple of the mex series, really liked the Classic 50's strat, great guitar if you want the Hank look in Fiesta red, was never keen on the mexican standard stuff but the best bet to do is try some of them out at your local guitar shop, they all have different necks and pickups etc i would also check out the Squier Classic Vibe stuff, they are cheaper and as good as the mexican stuff, i own a Biffy Clyro Fiesta Red one with Rosewood neck and its one of the best guitars ive played, well worth a look

I hate to be blasphemous but have you ever considered a Fret-King?

The Super-60 is a tremendous strat-type guitar. Locking tuners, Wilkinson trem and a great tone and finish.

Just a thought. ;)

Fender MIM Classic every time.

Mine is a 60s in Fiesta Red with Callaham cold rolled steel sustain block, Callaham shortened trem arm and Fender 57/62 pups ... lovely.
