Hi all.
I have recently been looking to replace my very old and worn out capo, only used at the first fret to chack neck relief. I saw the ones advertised by G7th at £30
and thought thats a lot of £ for a capo. I went onto their site and wow did I get a shock. They do capos from £450 to £539. Who buy's these? not many guitarist's I bet.
Regards Geoff

An advantage of the G7 capo is that it is a quick 'one hand' operation. For a right handed guitarist, simply squeeze it on to the neck with your left hand and it grips solidly. To release, move the lever with the thumb and it just comes away in the hand. No straps, screws or two-handed operation.
You are also buying quality. Had mine (the basic model I hasten to add) six years or so and still in perfect condition.

I have a brass Shubb capo which my missus bought me for a birthday....those old elastic ones were only good for a few years!
Doesn't matter what brand it is, it's essential, because it's difficult to play That'll Be The Day and Buddy's lead solo without one on yer sunburst Strat..!!!

I wouldn't even pay that sort of money for one of Nigel Tufnel's amp capos!

I never use a capo but I know a number of guitarists, acoustic and electric, who have nothing but praise for the G7 (basic model).
Definitely worth checking out.

Hi all
I finaly plumped for the G7th Standard, still pricey and a bit over the top for what I need it for, but I am a sucker for good quality kit.
Regards Geoff.

I NEVER use a capo foir playing, but I bought one to clamp the strings when doing a string change. Works brilliantly, provideing that 'third hand' that you always seem to need!

If you're using it to counter neck relief or a high cut nut, why not adjust the truss rod or file down the nut?
