Familiar colour...

I'm sure I saw it on Strats and Jazzmasters, etc, in Hessy's and Cranes (Liverpool), back in the days when we assumed that there was only one Fender red and had never heard the word "Fiesta" in connection with it.

I remember seeing something similar back then and would bet that this is where the 'salmon pink' nonsense was spawned (ooooh Y E E E SSS - what a beauty)

Jim, a very nice guitar indeed!!
Would fit nicely in my collection ;)
In the early 80;s I saw a similar coloured guitar at Vintage & Rare(old location).....they claimed it was salmon pink a light shade of f red.
Later that guitar apeared on a cd cover.
I was surten it was a re-sprayed strat, they asked 3000+ for that git :( little to steap a 63 re-sprayed f red at Maccarie was cheaper 1300 at that time.....I mis those prices lol
750 for genuine Burns Marvin :D those where the days

Lovely Guitar Jim

I am sure that Chris Rea's pinky is the same as this 8-) in fact before we moved i saw a Fender relic in Coda Music the same ,had the following effects

Sweating
Bad rash on the fingers
Beating of the wallet in the back pocket
Removing the credit card 3 times from the wallet
1 hour spent in the coffee shop with Maureen to convince her that £2,000 + was cheap for a scratched guitar ( she did like the colour!!!)

Take care Nigel
