A k serial numbered one has sold on E-Bay this evening for £ 355.00. It looked all original and in
good condition , so probably a better investment at the time rather than a Lada Riva saloon car!!!

Oh god, a good price for it. From what wood is the body? Alder or basswood? Is it a good investment
to purchase a MIJ Signagture H.M. guitar if one came across? What`s with the PU`s and the sound?
Alnicos or keramic ones?

Regards
Hans

Pickups - on mine at least - were the type with bar magnets slung underneath and steel pole pieces, so were probably ceramic.

Put it in part exchange for a US Vintage '57 in January 1997. They gave me £150!

As far as I know the body is Basswood as were the other models of the Squier Silver Series
circa 1992. With upgraded pickups and well set up guitar in my opinion this is still a great
value and playable instrument I have had for nearly 20 years.
