Hi all I bought a Quadreverb GT off a shadows guitarist but I'm a bit worried as I bought it with EFTP loaded and I was wondering will I lose all the patches if I need to replace the Battery. Great full for any advice.

You need to register it with Charlie Hall (find his details on the forum 'Charlie Hall & Friends'). He'll need the serial number and once he accepts you as the new owner he'll then explain the process to you.

you will lose patches but you can download them to a dump tool like this one http://www.stecrecords.com/?RecordId=372 or other safe place first. you also need the cable to connect computer to gt. a usb midi interface the edirol um-1x is a really good one if you can find one. but the batterys last for years as a rule so I wouldn't worry to much. but as has been said if you register it with charlie hall and its not a pirate copy and you didn't buy it on ebay he should give you back up. peter

There is a Method of changing the internal battery
without losing the memory.
this requires another battery being temporarily connected to the quad before removing
the old battery.

I did wonder about that trick Jay but will look at all options, the battery is fine at the moment and expect some sort of warning should it start to go dowm cheers Boss
