Squier Classic Vibe Tele Ltd Edition in Bronze Gold
First off, a very Happy Easter to all fellow members.
Rather foolishly, I sold my Butterscotch Blonde Classic Vibe 50s Telecaster a while back so decided to look for another.
I was looking on the Thomann site and was very tempted by a Squier Vintage Modified Tele with a Jazzmaster neck and Duncan designed neck pu and a bargain at £187.86 (B stock) but then I came across this beauty:
Here's the spec:
Fender Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom Gold Bronze Limited Run Electric Guitar - basswood body, modern 'C' shape maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 21 medium frets, 648mm scale, 41mm nut width, 1x custom single coil and 1x humbucker pickups, vintage strings-thru-body style bridge, vintage style tuners, 3-way switch. Finish: gold bronze.
I Googled it and according to Andertons there will only be 28 issued in the UK (seems an odd number) and they are showing it as "unavailable to buy". GAK had then priced at £318 but since seem to have disappeared. I was torn between this and another Classic Vibe 50s Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde but in the end went for the Limited run model from Thomann and it's on its way. The price was £277.08 with free shipping. I convinced the missus that it was a good buy, "an investment", "promised" to sell other guitars, etc, etc, as you do and when I went to show her it on the Thomann site an hour later it was showing as "none available" so I reckon I was just in time.
Has anyone else seen, tried or owns one of these? I'd be keen to hear your thoughts. I'll let you have mine when I've had it a few days.
