Ah well...
The real thing:
http://tinyurl.com/l2sefmg - on sale for £2999.00 (which I find very satisfying).

I've searched for the specs on the Revelation 12-string bridge (ie, whether it has 12 saddles and whether they are individually adjustable for intonation) but not been able to find much on it. It isn't featured on the Revelation Guitars website. But the bridge does look a lot more complex than the more standard Strat bridge fitted to the 6-string version.

Very satisfied with build quality and sound of Revelation bass guitar

If I wasn't running out of wall space to hang guitars, there are several tempting models in the Revelation range.

I have ordered one got it for £219. £380 cheaper than I can get a new Double Six. Gone for sunburst was tempted by the Artic white. I like the idea of that Varitone switch. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up to the double six. Tremolo as well - not sure whether that will be a problem. You seem to be able to get a lot of guitar for your buck these days.
On this subject anyone have a Barracuda and a Squier Bass V1. Would be interesting to see how they compare.

I have a Squier VI; my co-Dinosaur Ken has a Barracuda. When we came to record 'Baja' for our CD, I tried the Barracuda, and didn't like it, really struggled; brought my Squier over the following week and found it much easier. Could just be me - I have quite small hands, and bass can be an effort.
We did 'Magic carpet' on the CD with my Yamaha Pacifica 12-string, which sounds good, though it is a hard-tail, unlike the Revalation; having just acquired a s/h Double Six, I did think about getting rid of the Yamaha... but it has this lovely midnight blue sunburst finish, so I am reluctant to part with it.

Well I can't comment on that particular guitar, although it does look like it knows what it's doing!
I can tell you however, that there is a set of Entwistle pickups in a Classic 60's Strat I have, and it sounds pretty good.

The pick ups on the Burns MR2 and MR3 are Entwistle and they sound great. I understand Entwistle are launching their own branded guitars. There are excellent reviews of the Revelation.
There really is some quality coming out of China now and at very keen prices

I purchased one of these in white and did a comparison with the Double Six. DS is just over a pound heavier. DS is bulkier. DS sounds a bit mor Jangly ! Revelation has good sounding pick ups but warmer. Revelation 5 way rotary selector only good on a couple of settings with big changes in volume. The Revelation tremolo works well and stays in tune.Overall they are both very good but sound and look very different. I like both the offset shape and the Marvin style shape so nothing in it for me. If I were not a big Burns fan I would probably go for the Revelation. I paid £219. The cheapest New Double Six I can find at the moment is. £585.
Hope this helps
