Strymon El Capistan Tape Echo?

Looks interesting, i would imagine the audio quality would be quite high. Anyone tried one?.....

Hi Rob,I had one on loan for a week or so,even at half the price I wouldnt buy one.On a good day it sounded like a copicat. regards Gary

It is a virtual Copicat, nothing wrong with that but impossible to get the Shadows echoes because of lack of a fourth replay head.
If the Zoom G3 isn't your thing, the eTap2hw is superb. I'm currently doing some demoes with my one of my eTap machines as I did for the Zoom. Watch this space, it could save you money. :)

Thanks both for your thoughts, was going to buy a G3 but i have several diy effects i use so thought i would perhaps buy one of the Joyo AC Tone pedals and use individual pedals, i guess an etap would do the job, i've gone full circle in my thoughts in the last week :roll:
