Hi All

Charlie Hall has posted a demo of the new echo unit on his site, it does sound very promising. I would recommend people heading over to charlies site for a listen if your able to

It's recorded with a 10 year old AC1 (that tiny box with a speaker that could fit in a headphone).
Strat-AC1-SE Electronics R1 ribbon mike-ART preamp-pc nothing more......can you imagine this with a AC15or30!!!!

I can see these AC1's will go as candy after hearing this.....and a lot SH echo's will be on the marketplace ;)

Cheers Rob

What a great sound !
Me being me, I downloaded the track and attempted to try and get as close as I could to the sound using the eTap2hw.
Thus far I can get 80% with the right echo and tone, but there is something in there that eTap hasn't got, which to my ears is the reverb between the echoes, you hear it at the end on the stop. I've copied the way it's played and it stands out like a sore thumb. Great fun doing it but so far without adding reverb from elsewhere it just ain't it. It's got that thing that Phil Kelly described how his wheel machine sounds. :)

I totally agree having now listened myself, Charlie has done a sterling job with the development of this echo and i applaud him , so very authentic sounding, really excellent,
Phil.

As I have heard Ecca say several times... "Charlie Hall is the man ... "

This is the ambience and sound we know to be That Sound. Best part about it is the price will be very good compared to other previous echo machines made over the years and it will sound pretty dam close to a vintage Meazzi as well as other units like Binson and Long Tom. Great work John and Charlie.
