Hi All,

Having had a very quick breeze through the catalogue, there are some very tasty items on offer here. Just a couple that caught my eye. Lot 46, a CSL Les Paul Pro copy. Although this may not seem much but they were incredibly good guitars. I used to sell them! Lot 70, a D'Aquisto New Yorker Archtop, really tasty.

Very worthwhile having a look through these sale items.

Did anybody notice the Mark Griffiths bass ?

Yes I did Dave looks an interesting piece of kit as do some of the other basses. I looked in the archives and there were a few Copicats which went for between £80 & 100. I quite liked the Copicats mainly for the simplicity.

I haven't Bill, and I just picked up a G&L S-500 for £300 so my spending is on hold for a while now, that's two guitars in as many weeks. The one guitar I would be interested on would be the Gibson EB2 bass, but it's a want rather than a need.

I had an Epiphone Rivoli bass, basically an EB2, back in the early 70s. Didn't like it much and the rest of the band referred to it as an Epiphone Rivolting changed it for an EB3. Trouble is with eBay and auction sites there is always something you would like. If I go for the Barney Kessel it will probably just hang on the wall - there again so would a painting of the same price.

Go for it Dave !
I still have the Sunburst EB2 that I bought years ago as a want rather than a need. This bass is made in 1958, the first year of production. Total made then 90 ex. in sunburst finish and 6 ex. in natural finish. Light in weight, very comfortable bodyshape exact as ESTDC-335, banjo tuners . No baritone tone pushbutton yet, pickup cover in ebony Bakelite, called Royalite in Gibson lingo. Rests in its original brown hard shell Lipton case. What more can one ask for?
