REVERB CUT OUT

Postby Vincent » 12 Jul 2014, 12:26

The reverb cuts out intermittantly on my Vox Cambridge 30. Now about ten years old,It has a spring reverb unit but I did wonder if its possible to by pass this and fit a digital reverb unit? Digital or spring - does it matter ? I imagine digital reverb is more consistent.

Might be best getting a decent reverb effects pedal or rack unit. Then disconnect the old one.

OK I'll look at that. Not sure if just leaving the tank disconnected will affect other components :?

I think they usually connect the output from the amp into the reverb tank then onto the speaker so just a case of disconnecting it. You can buy new reverb tanks if needed search the web.
