PRS Guitar Care Products...

For those who haven't tried them, I can recommend the PRS range of guitar care products. Although I would have been surprised if anything that they put their name to, turned out to be rubbish, having tried various makes & products over the years, this stuff is really good!
I've used several types/brands of lemon/linseed oil on my rosewood board guitars in the past, but the PRS Fretboard Conditioner is the best to date. It's restored the fingerboard of my old Epiphone EJ200 to a long-lasting sheen as well as removing any playing build-up. I've found that lemon oil can still leave the 'board looking and feeling a bit dry.
I think that the 'star' of this PRS range is their Guitar Cleaner. I was expecting some sort of de-greasing agent that would leave the finish clean but dulled, but was totally wrong! In use it just swiftly removes any dirt/grease etc. and leaves the finish smooth & shiny (if it was shiny in the first place that is!). There's really no need to apply a polish unless you want to protect the surface in some way. I'm just a home player and have all of my guitars on hangers in a spare room. Although we don't smoke or have solid fuel heating, after a while some sort of atmospheric 'pollution' does deposit a slightly sticky film on the guitars that can particularly be felt on the back of the gloss, maple-necked ones. This product removes it in an instant! Seems to work its magic on the hardware too.
Lastly, the PRS Guitar Polish is probably the least 'spectacular' compared to the other two. I tend to avoid using any type of polish overmuch and quite frankly, using the Guitar Cleaner tends to be sufficient for me now. However, it again seems to be a quality product and imparts a deep, lustrous shine to both the wood & metalwork and can be used with confidence.
Stephen.

I've always used Big Bends Fret board juice conditioner and Gloss Sauce polish, reasonable price lasts well and does a great job.
