Hi Guys
I wasn't quite sure where to post this but, here goes.
I have just been putting my new offset trem arm for my Squier Classic Vibe 50s strat. I didn't want to fork out £40 odd for the Easymute so, I chanced it and, purchased one from Ebay called, the Staytrem. It comes In two lengths 5" and 6", straight and curved. At £ less than £13 inc postage, it is so far proving to be a bargain.
Regards
Roger

Hi Roger,
I have a couple of arms from Staytrem and they are both great value for money.

Hi Maurice
As You say, they are great value. I may purchase a few more for my other strats. I was a little sceptical at first but, so far, great quality and comfortable to use.
Regards
Roger

Hi rogb
Given the price of the Easymute, I think the staytrems are very good value for money. I have sent for a couple more for my other strats.

Roger

Hi Roger, I too wish to replace the arm on my classic vibes 50's squier. The arm has a 4mm screw thread, and Staytrem say they have never known a 4mm thread before and they don't do one. Just wondering what the screw thread size is on yours.

Hi rover
I bought the replacement arm for my Squire 50s strat from staytrem. It was specifically for the squire and, I bought the 5mm thread. It fits perfectly and, you can choose straight arm or offset for easy muting and. two different lengths.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Roger

Is it actually 4mm (ie an M4 thread)? Normally the threads are M5 for far eastern models or 10-32 UNF (4.826mm dia) for US. It would be worth trying a M5 screw or bolt gently in the hole to check.

Hi Roger, yes I have measured the arm and thread, definitely 4mm. I bought this guitar brand new last year for £282. The trem is total c***. I have never had much luck with Fender, I think I will sell this and buy a Burns.

Hi Rover,
I have a CV50s strat and my trem arm is 5mm which should be standard on most non USA strats which are 6mm.
If you are having problems why not just change the trem block then you solve both problems.
