This sort of reminds me when I was told that Cameron Diaz did mods to Stevie Ray Vaughans amps. unfortunately it was Cesar Diaz :D

Good luck with the H/C unit.

You are right- the Etap is very good and hard to beat !
You can hear the etap, we are not miked up for PA ( our AC 30 amps / only the drums had an OH mic and the bassdrum was miked ) - the clips were simply recorded with my iPhone 4 in front of the stage !

Gear: VOX AC 30 ( 69 vintage _ leadguit. ) / VOX AC 30 Classic ( rhythmguit. / greenbacks )
Squier HM sign. 1991 ( no modifications / stock PU ) / Fender MEX Strat ( rhythm. guit. )
BURNS HM ( 1964 orig. ) & early LEGEND
etaphw2 ( built by my friend Pancho from spain ) / NO EQ in between Guitar / etap & amp !
Fender Bass ( 1964 orig. )
BURNS Shadows Bass ( 1964 orig. )

Dear Hans,

sounds good and certainly you all had great fun with playing and your special made etap2hw.
Hard to beat (in value for Money) and tone quality as at the moment everybody said, besides the existing original tuned Meazzis;
but I am still looking and searching on for something like the H/C in the future, which eventually will also be hard to beat, sounds good (if not better, depends on your ears) and is very easy changing to the different echopatterns not only of Shads tunes in gigs, without tweaking the knobs.
It is still fun beeing on the quest for "That Sound" or maybe in your case satisfying if you have found it.
Amen

Hallo Karl !
